Video Trim & GIF Maker
Cut a video down to an MP4 clip, or turn any moment into a GIF — all processed on your own device. Nothing uploads.
The page works offline. Your first trim or GIF downloads a one-time video engine (~25 MB) from a public CDN — after that it runs entirely on your device. The video itself is never uploaded.

The in-browser video engine needs WebAssembly and modern JavaScript modules. Try the latest Chrome, Edge, or Firefox on a desktop.
Why edit video in the browser?
Most free online trimmers upload your footage to their servers. HeroTools runs a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg directly in your browser, so your video is processed on your own machine and never leaves it. The engine downloads once, then works offline. Some locked-down browsers may block large WebAssembly downloads — if it fails, try a different browser.
